The origin of Bersano dates back to the 1920s, when Giuseppe Bersano acquired land and vines from the Count Cremosina in the Asti Area. A sweet, white wine with quite intense aromas of honey, flowers and fresh grapes. On the palate the wine reveals further fresh grape and citrus notes. Selbach Oster Riesling is in a lush style, showing notes of nectarine, poached apple and lemon curd, with a backbone of vibrant acidity. Lovely now, but pretty intense and could use some time to integrate in order to show its best. Mineral, fruit and floral elements are all present, leading to a long finish marked by Asian spice accents. (AZ) (12/2019). 94 points Wine Spectator
