Ch Caronne Ste Gemme 2016

$280.00
The vineyards of Caronne Ste Gemme are located in the central Médoc, near Saint-Laurent-Médoc, not very far from Château Camensac, Château Belgrave and Château La Tour Carnet to the north, or from Château Lanessan to the east. The estate derives its name from Carona, a nearby spring, with Sainte Gemme being a derivative of St James, a local parish just south of Saint-Julien, near Saint-Laurent. Modern maps do not show this parish as it was abolished around the time of the Revolution, but by then viticulture was already firmly established here. A very traditional and dry style of Bordeaux from Haut Medoc. Red fruit abound on the nose with black pepper, subtle oak and good depth of fruit on the palate, which is supported by fine structure. ABV: 12.5% Size: 750mL Grape: 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5$ Petit Verdot Region: Haut Medoc, Bordeaux, France

Chateau Grand Puy Ducasse Pauillac 2015

$540.00
The 2015 Grand-Puy-Ducasse is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, matured in around 40% new oak, bottled in June 2017. It has a lighter bouquet than its peers, but is clean and pure and shows none of the greenness that afflicted older vintages of this estate. It has a floral tincture—hints of rose petal and peony complementing the redcurrant and blackcurrant fruit. ABV: 14% Size: 750mL Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot Region: Pauillac, Bordeaux, France
