Beaujolais Nouveau began as an early release wine, drunk by vineyard workers, to celebrate the end of harvest. It’s official date is the third Thursday of November. The 2022 Beaujolais have become an almost can’t miss.
The wine itself is fun and simple – a fruity red wine made from handpicked Gamay grapes grown in the regions of Beaujolais Village. It’s made using the process of ‘carbonic maceration’ and bottled a mere 6 – 8 weeks after harvest. This method produces a wine that is very low in tannin with high acidity. Look for lush, juicy aromas of grape, light raspberry, cranberry, candied fruits (bon-bon), fig, banana, and even bubblegum.

M. Chapoutier Cotes du Rhone Belleruche Blanc has a bright golden yellow hue. The nose is intense and expressive with notes of apricot, fennel and floral aromas. Complex and very elegant on the palate, with whispers of smoke and hazelnut accent fresh, cutting white peach and pear in this full-bodied yet zesty dry white. Predominantly Grenache Blanc, it’s a sumptuous sip given lift and edge by smaller proportions of Clairette and Bourboulenc. The finish is intensely mineral.

M Chapoutier Saint Joseph Blanc Les Granilites 2019
the 2019 M Chapoutier Saint-Joseph Blanc Les Granilites is a strong effort, these Marsanne grapes hail from the steep, fine-grained granite slopes inferred by the cuvée’s name. There are enticing aromas of ripe apricot and pear on the nose, strung together by a fine steely, stony note. The palate is mouth-watering yet balanced, and showing remarkably intense flamed citrus zest and even marmalade-like scents on the nose. In the mouth, this full-bodied wine is round and generous, almost honeyed, yet finishes long and zesty, with attractively mouthwatering, briny echoes on the finish.

Their classy Condrieu 'Invitare' with elegance and depth that can rival the very finest white burgundy.
The 2021 Condrieu Invitare shows the fresher style of the vintage while still bringing plenty of classic Viognier texture and richness. Flowers, apricots, and orange-tinged aromas and flavors all emerge from the glass, and it's medium-bodied, balanced, and an outstanding Condrieu to drink over the coming 4-6 years.

Belleruche translates to “beautiful beehive” in French, a name which takes inspiration from the bees and hives that thrive in the sustainable vineyards of M. Chapoutier.
An intense wine with blackcurrant and raspberry notes complemented by notes of white pepper. The wine is juicy, powerful and fruity on the palate with lovely roasted notes, and silky, delicate tannins. Pair with grilled roasted red and white meats. Perfect with pizza and pasta especially lamb ragu. Also enjoy with mild creamy and mature strong cheeses.
