Frangelico is a hazelnut and herb flavoured liqueur from northern Italy. It is made primarily from the distillation of the infusion of toasted hazelnuts into alcohol and water. It is flavoured with toasted coffee and cocoa, vanilla berries and rhubarb root.
As a classic liqueur it is perfect after a meal, either with coffee or in coffee. Its dark appearance is always ready to surprise with a sweet golden taste. For sheer sophistication, pour it over ice or for a twist, pour it over ice with a squeeze of fresh lime for the most tantalizing experience. To make it even more refreshing, mix Frangelico with soda, or chill it and enjoy as a shot.
