Riondo Valpolicella Ripasso 2018

fter a careful selection of Valpolicella grapes with high sugar content, vinification takes place with the Ganimede system where the grape skins and wine are continuously mixed in order to extract colour and tannins. During the winter, Valpolicella wine is passed over the skins remaining from the production of Amarone using the traditional Ripasso technique, which increases the alcohol, body and perfumes of the wine. The resulting wine is aged partly in stainless steel and partly in oak wood casks for 12 months.
Black fruits and mocha on the nose. Rich and full bodied on the palate with plum, black cherry and damson flavours, dried figs and dates and a lingering pleasant warming and lightly spiced finish.

Wente Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep red colour with moderate herbal tea aromas. Cherry, some vanilla and chocolate aromas. Rich yet approachable tannins. Mouth filling cherry flavours, long, but smooth finish.

Albret Reserva DO 2016
Albret Reserva is made principally with Tempranillo, enriched with a blend of Graciano, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon each varietal harvested at the peak of ripeness. Carefully aged for 18 months in French and American oak, followed by 20 months of bottle aging. Colour is ruby red with a clean aroma of wild cherries and plums. The palate has balanced flavours and acidity and a finish redolent of oak.

Sally's Hill Cabernets is a beautiful deep ruby colour, this exquisite example of Cabernet Sauvignon / Cabernet Franc blend opens with lovely ripe plum and cherry liqueur aromas. Well developed flavours in the dense mid palate coupled with barrel age, intense ripe Cabernet characters and mild new French oak, offer a beautifully balanced, supple, mouth filling wine. Dark cherries, blackberries and soft lengthy tannins give a very round, satisfying finish. Great to drink now, but will continue to develop in bottle for the next 15 years.

Torbreck The Steading 2018
Torbreck The Steading is Torbreck’s first wine to span ten consecutive vintages, The Steading is composed from the traditional Barossa cultivars of Grenache, Shiraz & Mataro. The wine has deep ruby with flickers of violet, its delicate aromas of truffle, five spice and spring flowers are supported by a rich core of framboise, licorice, saddle leather and provencal herbs. Very Burgundian in style, the palate is elegant and pure with subtle notes of crushed cherries, earth and cedar all neatly wound by a taught spine of acidity and ripe supple tannins.
