Named after a locale in the Australian Pyrenees, Shay’s Flat is produced on an east facing ridge in the southern foothills. It appears as a natural amphitheater with red soils of schist, quartz and rich clay. The vineyard features ten hectares of Shiraz in two parcels.
The Shay’s Flat vineyard sits at an altitude of 350m in the Western Pyrenees Ranges and is organically farmed. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. A small proportion of the wine is aged in tanks to preserve the freshness of the flavours.
Complex nose of black fruits (cheery, blackberry) with hints of tobacco (havana cigar). On the palate, aromas of black fruits and liquorice with supple and delicate tannins.

Albret Reserva DO 2016
Albret Reserva is made principally with Tempranillo, enriched with a blend of Graciano, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon each varietal harvested at the peak of ripeness. Carefully aged for 18 months in French and American oak, followed by 20 months of bottle aging. Colour is ruby red with a clean aroma of wild cherries and plums. The palate has balanced flavours and acidity and a finish redolent of oak.
