Majors on richly textured raspberry puree, still with distinct fresh rosemary with a handful of dried herb spice and white pepper. There is a deft confidence to the delivery and this is very easy to love. No need to wait, although it will keep delivering for another to decade. Blending takes place a few months before bottling, with ageing in a mix of oak barrels and cement vats.

Torbreck Woodcutters Shiraz is 100% Shiraz. Like all Torbreck wines, the fruit sourced for the Woodcutters Shiraz is hand harvested, hand tended, low yielding vines. It is fermented and gently basket pressed, then aged for 12 months in large format, old French oak foudre. Pure blackberry liqueur intermixed with hints of pepper jump from the glass of this soft, velvety-textured, opulent wine.
