Italy, Barbera d’Asti. Produced in the Bricco Quaglia hills in Bionzo, a small hamlet of Costigliole d’Asti. Harvest is at the beginning of October when only the best bunches are selected and collected into small wooden crates. Then grapes are gently pressed. Afterwards fermentation on skins for about 7-8 days. Aging takes place in new barriques for 24 months. The colour is intense ruby red. The bouquet is delicious red fruits. This wine is full bodied. Serve at 18-20C. Aging potential is 15-20 years. This is a wine for special occasions, pairs with red meat and mature cheeses.
