A great value from the prestigious Pomerol on Right Bank of Bordeaux. A family property for more than one century in the tiny village of Pomerol, one of Bordeaux' samllest yet most prestigious appellations. Château La Fleur des Rouzes appeared in 1958, following successions. The Château’s philosophy is simple, but powerful: “the nobility of our grapes makes the force of our wine”. Over the years, the Chateau’s various owners made wine on these 2.8 hectares on a purely secondary basis, fuelled by passion.
Dark garnet colour with brick highlights. Open nose, with redcurrant jelly, strawberry jam, vanilla and cocoa. Supple, elegant attack, on red fruit coulis, leather. The finish is rather short, with a little tension and a little length on red fruits and young leather.
